Most people get excited when Costco announces a new item coming to its stores, but one recent collaboration has Costco fans divided.
A new post on Reddit shows a stack of Krispy Kreme doughnut boxes in a Costco warehouse, leading some people to speculate that Costco is collaborating to sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts in its warehouse stores. With 825 comments (and counting), one thing's for sure—these donuts have people talking.

According to the post, the boxes contained 15 doughnuts, not the usual 12, which someone joked is a “Costco Dozen,” a nod to the fact that the retailer is known for selling bulk products.
While some people may like the idea of being able to grab a large box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts while shopping at Costco, others didn't think this was a great idea.
“I’ve never understood buying Krispy Kreme anywhere other than at their store. If they aren’t hot they are pretty average TBH,” one person wrote on the Reddit thread.
“I’d rather go to a mom-and-pop bakery for fresh donuts than get Krispy Kreme doughnuts that were made days ago at a grocery store,” another person commented.
But not everyone was put off by the new find, particularly because of the price.
"Not sure about everywhere, but here in CA a dozen assorted is $22.49. This price at Costco is $19.89 for 15 assorted. That’s a helluva deal," someone commented.
“Even the grocery store doughnuts are $1.19 each (northeast US) now, so $20 for 15 isn’t that out of line. Assuming they’re not stale,” someone else added.
If you like your Krispy Kreme doughnuts hot, you can always throw them in an air fryer for one minute to warm them up, or you can place them in the microwave with a mug of water and heat them for one minute. The water in the mug will create steam, which will help soften up day-old doughnuts (or any bread).
The Krispy Kreme donuts haven’t been spotted in too many Costco stores, but if you want to grab a box of 15, keep your eyes peeled! They may be coming soon to a store near you.
