Golden Retriever's Cute Routine While Waiting for His Girlfriend Is Perfect

If you're lucky enough to have more than one dog in your family, you know how sweet it is to watch their bond grow. Sure, some pups will certainly bicker like the siblings they are, but the times they cuddle and play together make the feuds over treats and favorite toys worth it. But what can be just as fun to watch is the bonds that our dogs build with dogs outside of our family — the ones who belong to the humans we love or even our next door neighbors.

Case in point: This sweet dog, who was captured waiting ever so patiently for his girlfriend to show up for a playdate. You can practically see the heart eyes from here!

On Saturday, July 20, @bennythegoldennn shared this video of her sweet Golden Retriever , Benny, perched so expectantly on the couch as he looks out the window, waiting to see his girlfriend (another Golden Retriever named Quincy) arrive at his house).

"He just watches and thinks every car is hers," his mom says in the video. "It's so cute."

It's then that Benny gives her this very attitude-filled Look — as if he doesn't believe that his mom was telling the truth that Quincy is actually coming over. This poor pup is getting less and less patient by the minute!

But in the end, it's all worth it. In a follow up video , Benny's mom shared what happened when Quincy finally did arrive, and the excitement between both of them was truly off the charts! The jumping, the happy zoomies... it's almost more than my dog loving heart can take!

Benny's mom didn't share how long it had been since these two had the chance to play together, but after seeing this reunion, I have a feeling that it doesn't matter if it's been one day or one month — they're always going to be happy to see each other.

    Can Dogs Fall in Love?

Good news for anyone out there who is rooting for Benny and Quincy's relationship as hard as I am: yes, it is possible for dogs to fall in love.

As veterinarian Paige Adams explained to Rover, dogs will most likely be attracted to other dogs who are similar to them when it comes to their personalities and the way they play. If they can match each other's energy (the way that Quincy and Benny certainly seem to be able to), it might just be a match made in heaven.

How do you know that's what's happening, though? Dr. Adams told the site, "they use body language and behavior to express their emotions." So if you see a lot of tail wagging, cuddles, and playing going on, you'll know what's up!

Here's to many more dates for Quincy and Benny.
