Having a big, spacious hotel room is always a nice luxury, but if the hotel itself is not the focal point of your vacation, sometimes it's better to downsize and spend your money elsewhere. Take a Disney World vacation: first you've gotta cover tickets; maybe Genie Plus or Park Hopper passes too; then there's extra expenses for food, drinks, souvenirs... If you're planning a trip on a tight budget, that doesn't leave a whole lot left for your hotel.

So if one of Disney World's bigger, fancier resort suites isn't an option, but you want something a little more deluxe than a value resort, what options do you have for luxury on a budget? Well, travel planner Jescie argues that this special suite, supposedly the "smallest room on Disney World property," is a cozy yet classy option for a Disney World trip for two!

What do you think of this Tower Studio at Disney's Riviera Resort? I think it's perfect for two people who want deluxe amenities on a budget and won't spend a ton of time in the room. #disneywithkids #disneytravelagent #travelagent #wdw #disneysummer #disneyday #disneyresorts #skyliner #disneysrivieraresort

According to Jescie (aka @planyourbesttripever ) this is the pint-sized Tower Studio at Disney's Riviera Resort, which first opened its doors in 2019. As a studio, there's nothing to this suite beyond the main room, the bathroom, the closet, and the outside balcony. The room is so small that it doesn't even have a bed - at least, not one you can see at first glance.

But fear not, because the Tower Studio has a fun little surprise in store. As Jescie demonstrated, there's a queen-sized Murphy bed above the couch that you can pull down at the end of a long day in Disney World , complete with a hidden Peter Pan painting that's revealed when the bed is down. How sweet!

    Why the Riviera Resort?

Jescie booked the Tower Studio on a trip for herself and her four-year-old, but she notes that the room is the perfect size for two guests of any age. Though the suite is pretty small, it has all the basics, including a small work desk, microwave, and mini-fridge, and its bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with enough counter space for two to get ready at the same time. With all that, plus the balcony view of Epcot at night, it's not a bad option for a couple's budget vacation!

But if you're trying to do Disney World on the cheap , why stay in the Tower Studio, and not just get a larger room at a Disney value resort instead? In the comments, Jescie added that the room ranges from around $400-550 a night throughout the year. While that's by no means the most expensive option by Disney resort standards, value resort rooms will often go for closer to half that price.

If you're looking for sheer savings, value resorts are your best bet. However, as Jescie noted in her caption, the Tower Studio is ideal for those who want deluxe amenities on a budget, something that the value resorts can't really offer. The Riviera Resort has a lot of exclusive amenities, including direct access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner gondola transportation system. The resort also has two pool areas (one more family-friendly with water park-style attractions, the other a more laid-back, serene alternative), nightly sunset campfires/marshmellow roasts by the waterfront, and movies on the lawn, along with a handful of resort dining options, from European-inspired fine dining to quick service.

The Tower Studio, then, offers an ideal compromise, allowing guests to experience the luxury of one of Disney's more high-end resorts without having to pay an exorbitant amount for a full suite. The Tower Studio won't be the right option for every Disney guest, but for a party of two with champagne tastes on a lean budget, it might just be the perfect fit!
