Support from the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation is helping Girl Scouts in the Quad Cities area. Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois (GSEIWI) received a $20,000 gift from the Foundation to support Girl Scouts in Scott and Rock Island Counties.

“Hubbell-Waterman’s consistent support of local Girl Scouts is creating the next generation of leaders in the Quad Cities,” said Diane Nelson, CEO of GSEIWI. “Our goal is to give every girl in the Quad Cities the opportunity to join Girl Scouts. Their support will help Girl Scouts gain valuable skills and develop strong core values.”

The Girl Scout program focuses on the outdoors, STEM, life skills and entrepreneurship to build kind, confident and competent leaders of the future. Girl Scout activities are fun and research-backed and each badge, field trip and event build independence, creativity and resilience.
