On General Hospital , Gregory’s death sent his son, Finn, into a downward spiral that eventually landed the doctor in rehab. But in real life, their former portrayers, Gregory Harrison and Michael Easton , are healthy and well — and recently reunited!
Easton delighted his social media followers on July 19 when he shared a selfie of him and a smiling Harrison. “Love catching up with my friend Greg Harrison,” he wrote. “I’d like to think that in some alternative universe, Gregory and Finn are alive and well and eating pancakes in some diner somewhere.”
The amazing photo racked up plenty of comments from the soap’s fans, but one reply in particular added a third member to the pancake party: Rebecca Budig, who played Finn’s ex-wife, wrote that perhaps in that alternate universe, Gregory and Finn are “with Hayden.”
The real-life reunion between the two actors comes several weeks after they each exited GH . Harrison’s final appearance on the soap was May 20, when his alter ego peacefully passed away in his sleep. In the episodes that followed, Easton’s Finn, a recovering addict, grew depressed and began drinking, risking the safety of his young daughter, Violet. Easton last aired on June 27, when Chase drove his big brother to an in-patient rehab facility.
While it doesn’t seem like Chase’s portrayer, Josh Swickard, was in attendance with his reel-life dad and brother, he shared with Soap Opera Digest that the three men planned to stay in touch. “[Gregory] lives out by the water, and we’ve set some surf dates in the future,” Swickard shared. “And we said that we’re all going to go to dinner soon. We’re trying to keep things on the books so we can all keep up with each other.”
We look forward to seeing photos of those surfing trips in the future!
