ROCHESTER — Kenneth Meyers, 52, of Rochester, died in a motorcycle crash Saturday morning, according to police.

Around 9:30 a.m., Rochester police, fire and Frisbie EMS crews responded to the intersection of Old Dover Road and Tebbetts Road for the report of an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

When emergency personnel arrived, they found a heavily damaged motorcycle, a 2006 Yamaha V Star, on the ground with the seriously injured rider next to it. Also in the roadway was a 2024 Hyundai Tuscon, driven by a 73-year-old Rochester woman who was not injured, police said.

Meyers was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital and was later pronounced dead by hospital staff, police said.

The intersection was shut down for about five hours, reopening just before 2:30 p.m., police said.
