General Hospital fans are wondering about the decision to have Perez Hilton as the interviewer for Kristina and Blaze.
On Monday's General Hospital, Kristina and Blaze met with Brook Lynn about their interview they decided to do to help "reverse" the backlash Blaze has received due to a recording of her mother going on an homophobic rant. Brook Lynn told the couple that Perez Hilton agreed to do the interview . Kristina asked if the social media blogger agreed to their questions they've sent over since they didn’t want a "curveball" to which Brook Lynn responded that Perez and his producer said no after "careful consideration."
It was that moment, that fans took to social media to question Perez being on the show especially with his previous actions that have been problematic and controversial such as outing celebrities.

One fan on X formerly Twitter wrote: "Didn’t Perez Hilton have a history of outing celebrities? Why on earth would GH think having the only queer couple on the show go to him for fairness?" A second fan said: "'Perez Hilton doesn’t have a private agenda.' Have any of the writers actually looked into Perez’s history? WOW." Another said on Reddit: " Does Frank know Perez Hilton stopped being popular like 10 years ago?” A fan responded to the Reddit fan with: " Or that most people have cancelled Perez?"
Some fans even shared examples of Perez outing celebrities like Lauren Jauregui. The former Fifth Harmony member talked to Red Table Talk: The Estefans in 2021 about the 46-year-old outing her by posting a photo booth photo that included her kissing her then girlfriend at the time.
Perez was first announced to be making a guest appearance on the show on June 11. The Official General Hospital page teased the news but didn't disclose his role. Now it's clear the Florida native will be the one interviewing Kristina and Blaze. Fans, when hearing the news, were also not happy and slammed the show for having him on. One fan had responded to the news with "He's a horrific person, are you kidding me with this??"
By the end of Monday's episode of General Hospital, Kristina and Blaze are doing a mock interview with Brook Lynn to prepare for their interview. So his appearance is coming soon but no specific date as of yet.
