Erin Napier is sharing a parenting tip that is so simple, anyone can try it.

The HGTV star took to Instagram on Sunday, July 21 with a snippet showcasing an activity station she keeps set up for her kids to easily access in their house.

"Always leave a heavy mug of water, typing paper, brushes and cheap watercolors out on a table somewhere in your house and watch your kids paint every single day," she advised in the caption of the post.

Along with the note was a video clip of a few pieces of paper on a table, as one of her children applied colorful strokes of paint onto it.

"We’ve been doing this since Helen was old enough to hold a paint brush," she continued, before promising, "You’ll be amazed at how neat they keep it!"

The Home Town star and her husband/costar Ben have two young children, daughters Helen , 6, and Mae , 3.

In the comment section, fans dropped in with their reactions to the parenting hack.

"What a great idea to just leave the supplies out and ready!" one exclaimed, while another joked, "Awesome! Do this with boys and you’ll not even need the paper. 😂"

"Yes!!! The art of 'strewing'- leaving out quality art supplies, musical instruments, beautiful books- it leads to such open ended wonder and curiosity! Good job over there!❤️," a third commended of the practice.

"What a wonderful way to encourage young raw talent," someone else wrote, in part.

Meanwhile, several more agreed with the sentiment that young boys may approach this open-ended opportunity a bit differently, as a few more commenters comically added, "You don’t have boys," "Such a great idea! I have feral boys tho 😂," and "We have a similar set up but with color pencils instead.... with boys there is zero chance that I wouldn't end up with painted walls."

Still, an additional Instagram user called it a "Brilliant idea," and the general consensus seemed to be that the tip is great for fostering creativity.
