Ricochet Comments On Speculation He Is AEW’s New Masked Wrestler

Following several vignettes, during the July 20 episode of Collision, AEW would debut a new wrestler named Hologram in a match against Gringo Loco. Subsequently, this has led to much speculation on social media regarding who is under the mask, with some fans even suggesting it could be Ricochet. However, the former WWE star has now taken to X to confirm that it isn’t him, noting that Hologram is shorter than him and doesn’t have the same tattoos.

“Everyone, unless I got major tattoo removal and lost a couple inches (please, I can’t lose any more height, haha). This isn’t me.”

Hologram’s real name isn’t public knowledge, although it is known that he is a 14-year veteran who previously wrestled under the name Aramis. And while it isn’t fully understood why AEW has decided to repackage him rather than use the gimmick he established in promotions like AAA, GCW, and MLW, it is believed that Tony Khan personally came up with the new character. Therefore, the high-flying luchador will almost certainly be given every opportunity to become a star, given Khan’s creative association.
