AEW Star Is Believed To Have Suffered A Partially Torn Bicep

This past Saturday night, The Patriarchy, consisting of Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Killswitch, won the AEW Trios titles by defeating The Bang Bang Gang, who had previously vacated them following an injury to Jay White. Yet, following White being sidelined, plus Riho, Skye Blue, and Dalton Castle, also having all gone down hurt in recent weeks, Bryan Alvarez has now reported that AEW’s injury bug has struck Killswitch.

The belief is that Killswitch, still sometimes referred to as Luchasaurus by some fans, has suffered a partially torn bicep. However, on a slightly positive note for Tony Khan, with All In fast approaching, according to the Wrestling Observer Live host, it’s understood that the 39-year-old plans to work through it.

Killswitch, real name Austin Matelson, debuted for AEW at the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view Double or Nothing, and it was confirmed shortly afterward he had signed a full-time contract. From there, he would regularly appear alongside his indie tag partner Jungle Boy, with the duo eventually winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Still, AEW management saw both men’s long-term futures as single performers, which resulted in the team breaking up in 2022.
