This 'Kit Kat Pie' Is Going to Be a Viral Sensation

We're calling it now: It's Kit Kat summer. The classic candy bar is all over the place. It's the centerpiece in a popular Krispy Kreme collection, the inspiration for a new Coffee Mate Creamer , the star of a new McFlurry and people are even dipping the crispy wafers in ketchup all over TikTok, which might have led to a Heinz collab .

The humble Kit Kat bar began its journey to candy stardom in England in 1935 and its founding company began international expansion in the 1950s and 60s. In 1988, Nestlé acquired the Kit Kat, except in the United States, where it's produced by the Hershey Company.

Over the years, Kit Kat has become more than just a chocolate bar. It's a pop culture phenomenon and one of the world's leading candy bars, beloved for its classic crunch and innovative flavors , like cinnamon toast and pink lemonade .

And while we were scrolling social media recently, we spied yet another use for the iconic candy. Food influencer @kyleistook shared an amazing Kit Kat Cookie Pie recipe on his TikTok page and we can see this being a viral sensation in no time. It looks too good to pass up!

In his video, Kyle shows fans how to make a decadent Kit Kat Cookie Pie, and his followers are here for it!

To start, Kyle flattens a large ball of chocolate chip cookie dough into an ovenproof skillet. Then, he tops that with a row of mini Kit Kat bars. He then pours Nutella on top of the candy bars, covering them completely. Finally, he finishes off the pie by rolling out another ball of chocolate chip cookie dough and placing it on top.

He bakes it all until the dough is cooked, then adds more Kit Kat bars once the pie is out of the oven. The result is a stuffed skillet chocolate chip cookie , which looks almost too good to be true. This is going to be popular!

"I'm making that every day," someone said in response to Kyle's video.

"I want it so bad," another person said.

The best part about a pie like this (other than how easy it is to make) is that you can customize it to suit your tastes. You could use sugar cookie dough, Nutella and bite-sized Snickers bars to make a similar pie; or you could try Snickerdoodle cookie dough, Twix and dark chocolate spread. We also suspect peanut butter cookie dough with Reese's peanut butter cups in the middle would be amazing.

And don't get us started on possible toppings. We can imagine adding sprinkles and whipped cream and your favorite sauces to really dress this dessert up for a party.
