FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – As of Monday, there are just 105 days until the November Election.

Despite the uncertainty of who will be the Democratic Nominee for president, the Fresno County Elections Office says everything is on time.

“It won’t directly affect our office as we receive our certified list of candidates from the secretary of state for all state and federal races,” said Fresno County Registrar of Voter James Kus.

He says every elections office in the state receives a certified list of federal, state, and local candidates along with measures a week after the Democratic National Convention.

“Once we receive that list then we rapidly move forward and getting mailed out 29 days before election day,” Kus said.

According to the Fresno County Elections Office, there are more than 507,000 registered voters in the county.

With this year being a presidential election, along with close state and local races, Kus is expecting a larger turnout than in previous years.

“We get ballots out and we get them back right away which we love we love getting ballots early and having those results on election day,” said Kus.

Kus says now is a good time for voters to make sure all their voter registration is up to date so their ballot is delivered on time.
