    Frederick County hosting Back to School vaccination clinics

    FREDERICK, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Frederick County Health Department (FCHD) will be hosting Back to School vaccination clinics next month.

    The clinics will be open from Aug. 6 to Sept. 11 for children who do not have health insurance, or children who have health insurance that does not cover the cost of vaccines or those who are not able to get vaccinated by their healthcare provider.

    All students who are enrolled in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade are required to have “age-appropriate immunizations.” The list of required vaccinations for the 2024-2025 school year in Maryland can be found here .

    These vaccinations will be free for these children, though parents will have to make an appointment. Kids who have health insurance that covers vaccinations are encouraged to see their own healthcare providers.
