Are you a TV or movie lover heading off to college in a few weeks?
We have something we think you might want to hear.
No matter what you like to stream — movies, comedies, live sports, reality shows — you’ll find a service with a student discount full of all the content you love.
After a six month free trial, Prime Student costs just $7.49/month — a 50% discount off the regular monthly price. It includes everything you get from a regular Amazon Prime subscription, too, like free one-or-two-day shipping, Amazon Music Prime, a Grubhub+ membership, and, of course, Prime Video .
Prime Student is available for four years; you’ll have to re-verify your student status to continue getting the student discount.
For all things HBO, Discovery, A24, and more, you need Max . Luckily, students who can verify enrollment in an accredited US college or university will get 50% off the Max with Ads plan for 12 months at a time. Instead of $9.99/month, students will pay just $4.99/month and can re-verify every year to renew the discount.
For just $1.99/month, students can take advantage of all that Peacock has to offer. The ad-supported plan normally costs $7.99/month. To get the deal, simply verify your student status and then make a Peacock account. You’ll get to watch everything on Peacock, including next-day NBC and Bravo episodes and more live sports than any other streaming service, including the 2024 Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Big 10 College Football, Sunday morning MLB games, and English Premier League soccer.
Peacock’s student discount is only available for 12 months.
The Apple TV+ student discount actually falls under the Apple Music Student Plan . For $5.99/month after a one-month free trial, you’ll get access to everything included in the Apple Music Individual Plan (including lossless and spatial audio, offline downloads, and Apple Music Song) and everything on Apple TV+ .
Student verification is required, and the discounted rate is available for 48 months (four years).
For just $2/month, eligible college students can get Hulu (With Ads) , down from $8/month. With Hulu, you can stream all of the streamer’s original movies and shows, plus movies from Searchlight and other studios and new episodes of TV shows from ABC, FX, Fox, and more the day after they air.
This offer price is good as long as you can prove that you’re an enrolled college student at a Title IV accredited college or university.
Paramount+ offers 25% off every month of their Essential plan to students enrolled at eligible accredited colleges and universities. That brings the $5.99/month price down to $4.49/month for access to more than 40,000 episodes and movies, live sports including NFL on CBS, and exclusive originals. This plan is ad-supported and does not include any of the Showtime content on Paramount+.
The student discount plan is good for four years, even if you graduate in less than four years.
