Chelsea has unveiled its 28-man squad for its pre-season tour of the United States .

The Blues are set to embark on their third consecutive summer trip, with new head coach Enzo Maresca at the helm and five matches lined up. The Londoners side will kick off their summer friendlies against League One outfit Wrexham in Santa Clara on Thursday.

Chelsea will then square off against Celtic, Club America, Manchester City , and Real Madrid as the Premier League team traverses the States. The Blues' American adventure will span roughly two weeks, culminating in a friendly against Madrid in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 7.

Upon its return to London, Chelsea hosts Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge for one final summer friendly on August 11, a week ahead of the team's Premier League opener against Manchester City. This summer is crucial for Maresca and his squad as the new head coach aims to make a strong start after succeeding Mauricio Pochettino.

Maresca's touring party boasts a healthy mix of youth and experience, including the club's summer acquisitions. Tosin Adarabioyo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have been included in the squad following their transfers from Fulham and Leicester City respectively.

New signings Marc Guiu and Renato Veiga have also made the cut for the summer tour. However, there is no room for Trevoh Chalobah. Notable absentees from the squad include Omari Kellyman, Alfie Gilchrist, Bashir Humphreys, Cesare Casadei, David Datro Fofana, Deivid Washington, and Djordje Petrovic.

It's believed that Chelsea is looking into offloading most of these players, with loan deals being a possibility. Chelsea has also announced that additional players will join the group at a later date. These are likely to be those who were on international duty during the summer's major tournaments. Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Enzo Fernandez, and Marc Cucurella are all expected to link up with their teammates in due course.
