    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Monday marked eight consecutive days at the airport with a trace or more of rainfall! MSY picked up nearly two inches of rainfall Monday.

    Day #9 in-a-row is likely Tuesday. Another day of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms likely.

    Higher flood risk across southwest Louisiana, but nearly all of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi is within a Marginal(Level 1 of of 4) for excessive rain and flash flooding Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday.

    By late week/weekend — There are signs that the spigot may gradually turn off with a more seasonal summertime pattern. Daily storms will continue, but the coverage looks less widespread by the weekend.
