32-year-old Brandon Kendrick is charged with five counts of capital murder in the July 19 shooting that killed his wife Kelsey Kendrick and four children at a home near West Blocton.

Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade said the shooting happened in the area of Greentree Drive in roughly around 10:00 p.m. Investigators with the sheriff’s office said Brandon Kendrick fatally shot a 2-year-old, two 6-year-olds, a 9-year-old and Kelsey Kendrick.

Wade said two of the children killed were Kendrick’s own and the two others were relatives.

Court documents allege Kendrick shot each victim in the head with a 9mm handgun.

Kenrick is being held without bond. A preliminary hearing in the case is set for September 26.
