At this point, Team USA is still the heavy favorite to go all the way and win the gold medal in the upcoming Paris Olympics. One of the teams that is considered to be the biggest threat to the Americans is France, who will be led by San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama.

Coming off an incredible Rookie of the Year campaign, the 20-year-old phenom will now look to help lead his national team to an Olympic gold medal along with the likes of Rudy Gobert, Nicolas Batum, and Evan Fournier, to name a few.

When asked to share his thoughts about potentially facing a LeBron James-led Team USA squad in the Olympics, Wembanyama got brutally honest in his response.

“I’m excited to play any good teams, but it's really about us," he said. "We are trying to make it as far as we can to the gold medal. So it doesn’t matter who's our opponents."

It's very likely that France will need to go through LeBron and Co. to get that coveted gold medal. At this point, however, Wembanyama is more concerned about his own team and what they can do as opposed to whoever is on the other end of the court.
