Cobra Kai Season 6‘s first part has just dropped and fans are wondering if Xolo Mariduena‘s Miguel Diaz dies in the action martial-arts drama’s final installment. Fans are also curious to know what happened to Miguel during the events of Season 2. Miguel has had a solid character arc so far over the course of the show. He has gone from being very dedicated to Cobra Kai’s merciless philosophy to showing mercy and compassion, which involves understanding Sam deeply and throwing aside his fierce rivalry with his mentor Johnny’s son Robby.

So does Miguel die in Cobra Kai Season 6? What happened to him in Season 2? Here are your answers.

Does Miguel die in Cobra Kai Season 6?

No, Miguel does not die in Cobra Kai Season 6.

In Cobra Kai Season 6, Miguel eagerly vies for the Sekai Takai team captain position as he wishes to put it in his college application to Stanford, his dream college, who had previously deferred him. He was inspired to do this after he spoke to Sam about it. Unfortunately, Miguel loses out on the chance to become Sekai Takai team captain after Robby defeats him and ends up winning that title.

What happened to Miguel in Cobra Kai Season 2?

Miguel was paralyzed and rendered unconscious at the end of Cobra Kai Season 2.

The second installment’s ending saw Miguel and Robby fight each other. The fight was caused by their growing rivalry over the course of Season 1 and 2, sparked by their mutual jealousy and hatred toward each other. Robby hated Miguel for always getting more attention from his estranged father, Johnny. On the other hand, Miguel hated Robby for seemingly growing close with Sam.

During their fight, Miguel gains the upper hand on Robby and shows him mercy. However, Robby uses this opening to kick Miguel off the balcony and down the stairs, paralyzing him. Miguel then goes into a coma but recovers at the start of Season 3. He then spends the remainder of Season 3 slowly recovering from his paralysis and getting back into fighting shape.
