WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Gone are the clouds, well at least the majority of the cloud coverage that kept temperatures cooler for yesterday. This afternoon mostly clear skies will allow for increase solar radiation and hotter temperatures for this afternoon. Most of Texoma will heat up into the low to mid 90s this afternoon. During the afternoon hours, some cumulus clouds will likely develop across the region with a few showers towards the southeastern parts of the area.

Wednesday, no drastic changes from the the Tuesday forecast. Mostly clear to start, some afternoon clouds with one or two showers, and temperatures will remain mostly in the low to mid 90s. Those slightly below average temperatures will continue for the rest of the workweek and into the weekend.

This weekend, the high pressure or heat dome to the west will begin to move slightly eastward pulling Texoma under the influence of the heat. Temperatures will climb up into the upper 90s and lower 100s for the weekend and to start off next week. Rain chances stay very slim for the week ahead.
