    Home ruled ‘total loss’ following Putnam County fire

    PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Fire crews in Putnam County quickly extinguished a blaze that broke out at a home early Tuesday morning.

    According to the Putnam County Fire Department, crews were called to Penthouse Road at approximately 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, to respond to a residential structure fire.

    Crews said when they arrived they saw heavy flames coming from the roof of the home.

    An aggressive attack was reportedly made on the fire, which was knocked down about 20 minutes after crews arrived. The flames were completely under control in 45 minutes, officials said.

    The fire department said personnel were on until 5 a.m. to work on overhaul and hotspots. They added the home is considered and total loss and the cause appears to be accidental.

    No injuries were reported at the scene. Additional details were not immediately released.
