Kate Middleton and Prince William are facing a tricky choice if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make their way back to Britain for the 2027 Invictus Games. The city of Birmingham has been revealed as the proud host for the upcoming Invictus Games, with Harry and Meghan tipped to be in attendance at the event in three years.
Royal pundit Dorothy Reddin predicts that while it's not a must for Kate and William to show up at the Invictus Games, it might look bad on them if they don't make an appearance . "The Royal Family would almost certainly have to consider the optics of a major sporting event being held in the heart of the UK and no visibility from Harry's immediate family, thus placing the Waleses in an awkward position," Reddin told GB News.
She continued: "William and Kate could run the risk of appearing cold if they failed to show public support for the Duke of Sussex," reports the Mirror US . Yet, she also conceded that any meet-up between Kate, William, Harry, and Meghan could end up being "deeply awkward."

Nonetheless, Reddin thinks it might just be the chance for "an emotional reunion and a powerful full-circle moment for the Royal Family." When Birmingham got the nod for the 2027 Invictus Games, Harry released a heartfelt message.
"Congratulations to Birmingham, UK, on winning the bid to host the Invictus Games 2027," he expressed. "Your city's strong ties to the armed forces community made it a formidable contender from the very start.
"Over the years, we've seen each city bring a unique spirit and vision to life for competitors, their families, and spectators. We have no doubt the people of Birmingham will join in celebrating the unwavering respect and admiration we have for our veteran and service community, showing the world how their courage ignites hope and unites us all - something your city knows well."
