And so 15 became a good number, like a supersize season, to pay off all these characters that we’ve set up.”

Furthermore, he explained the rationale behind the three-part format. Schlossberg noted that their writing process already revolved around five-episode character arcs for each season. This familiarity with the five-episode arc allowed them to craft a cohesive narrative for the longer format.
