    Nash students explore agricultural leadership

    RALEIGH — A quartet of high school students from Nash County completed the North Carolina Farm Bureau’s Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders held June 16-21 at N.C. State University and N.C. A&T University.

    Frederick Lindsey, Jashanna Suggs, Micah Boseman and Colin Legget applied for and were approved to attend the summit, which aims to provide insight on topics such as career development, technology, citizenship and leadership in the agribusiness sector.

    Additionally, the group visited the N.C. General Assembly and heard remarks from a host of state politicial luminaries, including N.C. House Speaker Tim Moore, Rep. Jimmy Dixon, R-Duplin, and Sen. Lisa Stone Barnes, R-Nash.
