Multiple celebrities have now given their endorsement to Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee , with perhaps the biggest one coming from actor George Clooney .

The latest round of political backings come roughly two days after President Joe Biden announced via a social media statement that he will not continue his reelection campaign, giving his endorsement to Harris. Since then, many others have followed suit and have given their endorsements to the vice president.

Here are a few of the major voices within the Hollywood circle endorsing Harris.

    George Clooney

The former ally of the Biden campaign made waves earlier this month when he published an op-ed asking for Biden to bow out of the campaign . In the days following Biden’s announcement, the Ocean’s Eleven actor has since given his endorsement to Harris, adding that Biden has shown “true leadership” in not seeking reelection.

“We’re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest,” Clooney said in a statement.

    Mark Hamill

The Star Wars actor has been both a major advocate of Biden and a critic of former President Donald Trump for years. Hamill gave his endorsement to Harris the morning after Biden’s historic decision. He encouraged his followers to vote for “the candidate who will both honor & further” Biden’s legacy.

    Rob Reiner

Like Hamill, The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally director has been a major critic of Trump. After Clooney called for Biden to step aside, Reiner contended that the actor “expressed what many of us have been saying” and that the Democratic Party needs “someone younger to fight back.”

“Kamala Harris will be the 47th President of the United States,” Reiner wrote on X. “Democracy will survive.”

    Abigail Disney

The granddaughter of Roy Disney, who is the brother of Walt Disney, revealed Monday that she will resume donating to the Democratic Party after pausing donations earlier this month, which she enacted until Biden was replaced as the 2024 nominee.

Disney added that Harris, whom she called “excellent,” would be a good replacement for Biden and that the Democratic Party could win the presidential election “by a lot” should it choose to unite around the vice president.

Since Biden’s announcement Sunday, the Democratic Party has seen a spark in donations , with Harris campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz saying the first 24 hours saw the campaign pull in $81 million in small-dollar donations. Future Forward, a core super PAC backing Biden and now Harris in 2024, also raised more than $150 million in the first 24 hours after Biden’s exit.

Amid the discussion of Harris potentially becoming the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has cautioned Republicans not to immediately direct criticism to Harris, as doing so would make the party look “unnecessarily insecure.” He added that the Republican Party is not running a specific candidate but instead “a machine.”
