NBA legend LeBron James showed everything about his game and his determination in a nine-second clip as he guided Team USA to a 92-88 win over Germany on Monday night.

The Team USA men’s basketball team completed its last run out before the Paris 2024 Olympics . Again, it had the Los Angeles Lakers veteran to thank for getting it over the line in another narrow victory.

The 39-year-old has been Team USA’s man for the big moment during its two games in London. The Steve Kerr-coached group followed up escaping humiliation against South Sudan, when Team USA came back from 16 points down to save its blushes and win 101-100, by surviving another major scare against Germany.

James, who has been nominated to be the Team USA flag bearer at this Friday’s Olympic opening ceremony, showed the desire that’s seen his career reach great heights for so long. Late in the fourth quarter, James created space between a crowd of Germany players to hit a layup before he immediately reacted by tracking back and intercepting a pass just seconds later

"I feel pretty good," the Lakers star told Mirror Sports U.S. after the Germany victory. "I mean, we got better tonight and that's the most important [thing]. We were tested by a great Germany team that was a world champion last year.

"It was a good test for us and I'm glad we were able to, once again, keep our composure, persevere like we did the other day versus South Sudan. It was a good win for us,” he added: "We feel great. I mean, we've been practicing a lot. We've been trying to dive in and put a lot of things into our system. Because, like I'm saying, we don't have much time.

"But we feel good. We get an opportunity to continue to play. We're going to take the day off tomorrow, which is going to be great for our bodies. And get ready for the rest of the week until our first game in Lille."

The team will now travel to France where its Olympic campaign gets underway on July 28 against Serbia. It will then reunite against South Sudan on July 31 before finishing the group stage against Puerto Rico on August 3.
