Prince Harry has addressed his estrangement from his brother, Prince William , several times. However, one particularly revealing moment that highlights the decline of their relationship stands out.
William and Harry have had a strained relationship for quite a while. The situation has worsened to the point where William is thought to have severed all connections with his younger brother due to Harry's ongoing criticisms of the Royal Family . The extent of their rift was vividly portrayed in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan .

Cameras were there to capture the exact moment that Harry got a text from his brother about the Sussexes' Oprah interview, in which they alleged instances of racism within the family. The message prompted Meghan to get off the phone with Tyler Perry - and while viewers didn't see the text, Harry cryptically told his wife: "I wish I knew what to do."
Elsewhere in the show, Harry recalled a meeting with his family about his and Meghan 's decision to step away from senior royal duties. "It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that simply weren't true," he said. "And my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there and sort of take it all in."
Harry later added, "The saddest part of it was this wedge created between myself and my brother. So that he's now on the institution side. And part of that I get, I understand, that's his inheritance. So to some extent it's already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and the continuation of the institution."

Harry's revelations in the Netflix show did not go down well with the royals - especially father King Charles, who had a brutal one-word assessment of his son in the aftermath. According to Endgame author Omid Scobie , following the release of the show "heads were in hands and migraines were brewing" at the Palace. Quoting an aide talking about Charles, the author added: "(The King) went from not wanting anyone to talk about his son to openly criticizing 'that fool'."
It's not just his family that have been upset by Harry's actions. According to royal expert Tom Quinn, his friends are also "avoiding him". He told the Mirror : "Harry has a few friends from the army and from his days at school, but they are a part of the old pre-Meghan world that Harry hates to revisit. His military friends feel he has betrayed them by writing about his military service in such an un-military way and his old Etonian friends don't like the new 'woke' Harry. Conservative with both a small and a big C, they see the new Harry as a tree-hugger with whom they have nothing in common."
