Kyrie Irving: "So Many People Love You. Don't Focus On The People Who Don't."

Kyrie Irving has dished out some interesting life advice over the years and was back at it recently. Irving took to Instagram to share some rather simple but powerful messages about life with his followers. In the first one, Irving stressed that one should focus on the many people in the world who love them and not on those who don't.

That is pretty sound advice. Spend your time and energy on people who love you, as they are the ones who deserve it. Spending it on those who don't, is just an exercise in futility.
I think we saw Irving do a lot of that in the past, but he has changed in that aspect over the last year or so. The 32-year-old then stressed the importance of keeping a small circle.
"Small circle, private life, peaceful mind."

While this is pretty good advice for anyone, I think it applies more to a celebrity like Irving. Having a smaller circle and keeping your life private certainly would lead to a far more peaceful life. The eight-time All-Star seems to have gone that route too, as he has kept his personal life private and doesn't seem to have a big circle either.
Irving is quite different from the average NBA player. He freely speaks his mind and has ended up landing himself in trouble because of it. While he has made more than his fair share of controversial statements over the years, he has also sent out some truly inspirational messages.
Sending out such messages isn't the only thing Irving does to help others. We often hear stories of him providing financial assistance to those who are in desperate need of it. Irving once donated $65,000 to fundraisers to help the less fortunate and there are countless other instances like this as well.
Kyrie Irving Is Confident The Mavericks Will Be Serious Title Contenders Next Season
There is a lot to like about Irving's actions off the court in recent times and that is the case for his acts on the court as well. He helped the Dallas Mavericks make it all the way to the NBA Finals in 2024, although they did fail to get over the line, losing to the Boston Celtics in five games.
Irving himself struggled on the big stage, averaging just 19.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 0.6 steals per game against the Celtics, and it was a disappointing end to what had been an incredible 2024 postseason for him. He is confident, though, that he and the team will bounce back from it.
