While many fans expected that episode 12 of season 7 for My Hero Academia would be coming this weekend, the episode has actually been delayed. Instead, the episode will be released next weekend.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 12 will be released in Japan and on Crunchyroll on August 3, 2024.

Why Was MHA Season 7 Episode 12 Delayed?

MHA season 7 episode 11 ended on a big cliffhanger, so it might seem like the series went on hold just to let that moment hang and build up suspense. That’s actually not the reason, though, surprisingly. Instead, it’s because of the Olympics.

If the series had stuck to its regular weekly schedule, it would have been released on July 27, 2024. Unfortunately, that’s right when the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris start, so the episode has been delayed to avoid clashing with Olympics coverage on the first day of the event.

Once the series returns on August 3, it’s likely it will continue at a weekly pace, though there may be extra week-long delays every now and then, too. This is the second delay in this season, so other delays are definitely possible, too. All fingers are crossed, though, that it goes smoothly.
