Which schools are offering free meals this school year

(WSPA) – With the start of school right around the corner, multiple school districts are announcing plans to remove one of the biggest barriers some students can face when trying to learn – hunger.

Multiple school districts have announced they will be giving students free breakfast and lunch this school year.

Here is a list of schools and districts we know will have free meals for students this year:

Spartanburg County

• Spartanburg School District 3: Free breakfast and lunch for all students
• Spartanburg School District 5: Free breakfast and lunch for all elementary school students
• Spartanburg School District 6: Free breakfast and lunch for all students
• Spartanburg School District 7: Free breakfast and lunch for all students

Greenville County : All schools offer free breakfast. All schools except these will also provide free lunch:

• Augusta Circle Elementary
• Bell’s Crossing Elementary
• Buena Vista Elementary
• Mauldin High
• Monarch Elementary
• Oakview Elementary
• Pelham Road Elementary
• Riverside High
• Riverside Middle
• Rudolph Gordon School
• Stone Academy

Anderson County:

• These schools within Anderson School District One: Cedar Grove Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, West Pelzer Elementary, Wren Elementary, Spearman Elementary, Palmetto Middle and Palmetto High.
• Anderson School District 2
• Anderson School District 3
• Anderson School District 4
• Anderson School District 5

Henderson County: All students attending the following schools will enjoy nutritious lunches without any cost:

• Bruce Drysdale Elementary
• Clear Creek Elementary
• Dana Elementary
• Edneyville Elementary
• Henderson County Career Academy
• Hillandale Elementary Sugarloaf Elementary
• Upward Elementary

Rutherford County:

All schools will offer free breakfast and lunch.

Pickens County

All schools will offer free breakfast and lunch.

Greenwood County

Ware Shoals School District 51 will offer free breakfast and lunch
