President Joe Biden’s "symptoms have resolved," after testing positive for COVID-19 last Wednesday, according to his doctor, Kevin O'Connor.

“Over the course of his infection, he never manifested a fever, and his vital signs remained normal, to include pulse oximetry,” Dr. O’Connor said in a press release. “His lungs remained clear.”Biden, who took atleast 10 doses of antiviral Paxlovid, will continue to be monitored for any recurrence of illness, his physician said.

The president is slated to address the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday about what comes after ending his bid for a second term on Sunday.

“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead and how I will finish the job for the American people,” Biden said in a message posted Tuesday on X, formerly Twitter.

Biden pulled out of the presidential race on Sunday following weeks of pressure from Democrats who feared he would lose to former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee.

Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who announced that she would seek the Democratic nomination for president.
