There's nothing quite like creating your own custom wall art. Whether it's a stunning painting that you whipped up at home, or a clever installation that you've created using a variety of different items from around the house, making something that you can look at every day with a sense of pride is a truly amazing feeling.
Now, one woman is showing us a quick and easy way to make something like this for ourselves, and you don't really need to be a creative person to pull this off. All you need is access to a canvas and a Dollar Tree to get everything you need to make some art.
Big thanks to @belindasdiys , who lent us some of her creativity when she showed her followers how to make this cute piece of art that looks a whole lot like a garden of sunflowers.
We weren't the only ones jazzed by this idea. In fact, the comment section was full of people celebrating the idea, saying how they couldn't wait to try to make one of their own.
Like the idea of turning something ordinary into something extraordinary? Check out what this woman did with a few IKEA placemats.
Woman's Placemat Wall Looks Like a Massive Art Insulation
You don't need to make a Dollar Tree run to use placemats in a new and inventive way. Just look at how this woman took some placemats and mirrors from IKEA, and used them to create a few different pieces of art.
We especially like how she alternated different textures and designs when choosing the mat, giving her project a multi-dimensional look and feel. It almost looks like she made a partial accent wall using these pieces, which she combined with a bit of hot glue.
Once again, we're just so blown away with how creative people can be, and thankful that they are gracious enough to share those fun new ideas with the rest of us online!
Placemats Make a Great Artistic Medium
If you've passed on making any artwork for your own home because of the upfront costs associated with buy a fancy canvas, paints, and brushes, like these two examples be a reminder that you don't have to spend a lot of money to create something for yourself.
All you need is a bit of creativity, a ton of vision, and the patience to carry it out. Oh, and lets not forget the supplies!
