    Voter registration deadlines set for Aug. 6 primary election

    With the Aug. 6 Thurston County primary election approaching, voters must register prior to the following deadlines to vote.

    Monday, July 29, is the last day for remote registrations and updates to existing registrations online at VoteWA.gov , by mail or at voter registration drive, etc. Remote registrations must be received by an election official by close of business.

    Voters may register or update their registration in person until 8 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Thurston County Auditor’s Office Elections Division, 2915 29th Ave. SW, Tumwater, or any voting center.

    Yelm voters can register, update their address, or receive a ballot and voters pamphlet at the Yelm Timberland Library, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 210 Prairie Park St.; from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3; from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5; and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6.

    Voters in the Nisqually Valley can drop off ballots in Yelm at the Yelm Community Schools district office, 110 First St. N.; in Rainier at Rainier City Hall, 102 Rochester St. W.; or in Tenino at the Tenino School District office, 301 Old Highway 99 N.
