T he Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef is the gift that keeps on giving.

Beyond music, it spawned Kendrick’s Juneteenth Pop Out show, music videos from both sides and now another video game.

Drake fans refuse to take the L and have since created a Family Matters video game. The game directly refers to the beginning of the last verse of “Family Matters,” where Drake says, “ Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now .”

So, the video game takes the lyrics literally. As a digitalized Kendrick Lamar sways back and forth, you have to properly aim a Grammy into his mouth when it suddenly opens. A made attempt yields no reaction from K. Dot, but when you miss his mouth, he cries, and tears roll down his face. Players get three attempts before the game is over.

“Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go feed him a Grammy right now. Tap the Grammy to feed Kenny. Don’t miss or he’ll be sad,” reads the start screen, as an 8-bit version of the “Family Matters” beat plays in the background.

The game’s makers take more shots at Kendrick in the credits, writing, “Made by some real ones to prove a point. That Not Like Us game was trash. KBots backdooring the plays like Kendrick’s Spotify, haha,” accusing the LA rapper’s camp of garnering fake streams amid last week’s news that Lamar’s monthly Spotify listeners surpassed Drake’s thanks to the popularity he garnered after the beef and the immense success of “Not Like Us.”

The Family Matters game comes as a response to the Not Like Us video game developed by Richie Branson, who most famously worked on Fortnite. It references the scene in the song’s video where Kendrick hits an owl pinata, which is meant to signify Drake’s record label and crew OVO.

Play the Family Matters game here.
