    MARCELINE WELCOMES NEW CITY MANAGER

    The City of Marceline has hired Jesse Wallis as the city’s newest City Manager.

    Wallis spoke to KMMO News about his journey prior to taking the job in Marceline. Wallis grew up in eastern Missouri and served in the Marine Corps for four years. Wallis was the City Administrator in Hillsboro for seven years prior to taking the position in Marceline.

    Wallis resigned from his position in Hillsboro in April. He says he and his family fell in love with the community after visiting and touring the city.

    Wallis hopes to help the city and the council move forward with several infrastructure projects relating to water, sewer systems, and electric. His attended his first city council meeting on Wednesday, July 17.
