    Court motion names bid winner for Charleston parking garage sale

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – One parking garage in Charleston is a step closer to having a new owner.

    According to court documents, a motion was filed in Kanawha County Court to approve Infinity Hotels, LLC, to buy the Washington Street East Garage, also listed as “Garage C,” from Boyd Real Estate Resources, LLC.

    Kanawha County Circuit Judge Dave Hardy must approve and sign the motion for the companies to be able to complete the transaction, according to court records.

    On Thursday, June 27, three downtown parking garages – located on Washington St. E., Lee St., and Quarrier St. – all hit the auction block . Combined, the garages house more than 4,000 parking spaces in the city.

    UPDATE: Here are the highest bids for the Charleston Town Center parking garages

    The highest bid for the Washington St. E. Garage was $800,000 from Infinity Hotels. The company is the manager of the Charleston Marriott Town Center, which is beside the garage.

    A different bidder won the bidding war on the Lee St. and Quarrier St. garages that flank the Charleston Town Center Mall for $600,000 and $800,000 respectively. That bidder has not been publicly named yet.

    The paperwork for the sale of those two garages is expected to be filed
