COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL) -These storms across southwest Alabama are triggering plenty of convective clouds and a few showers well ahead of the line of storms in southwest Alabama.

This is outflow energy is lifting the air ahead of it, so expect storms erupting at any given spot along this track. Widespread showers and scattered storms will continue for the next couple of days.

The cool front is draped across east central Alabama and west central Georgia. The disturbances and sea breeze front continues to lift across the front or the western side of the Bermuda high pumping all the moisture and humidity in the region.

Eventually the front will move eastward and so will the Bermuda high pressure system across the Tropical Atlantic basin, allowing the atmosphere to stabilize somewhat and we will see drier air working in from the north.

This will decrease coverage of storms in the extended forecast.
