CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — Delegates from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky have all endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nomination for President this November.

The states that have shown their support for Harris are enough to give her the votes needed to be the party’s nomination. Fourteen states, American Samoa, the North Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have not endorsed Harris as of Tuesday afternoon.

West Virginia Democrats also criticized Republican calls that President Joe Biden resign from office now.

“Sen. Capito and Attorney General Morrisey are being completely ridiculous, and they know it. They are playing politics. Look at the Republican Party, they don’t know which way they want to go right now. Half of them are saying that the president needs to step down, and the other half are suing to keep him on the ballot. So, which is it?” said Del. Mike Pushkin, (D) Kanawha & State Party Chair.

There was a new video of President Biden showing him as he prepared to leave Delaware for D.C. on Tuesday. It is the first video of him in public since he was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week, just days before he ended his reelection campaign.

Democrats say they are eager to hear from the president, who plans to address the nation from the White House Wednesday night. Biden will explain why he ended his campaign and endorsed Harris for the top job.

Reporters shouted questions at President Biden Tuesday, one asking how he was feeling. The president answered, “Well,” and gave a thumbs up.
