One of my favorite things to do is travel, but unfortunately, it also comes with the massive downside of leaving my pets behind. It's so hard to be away from them, but after traveling with my dog a few times, I've learned that she's a lot happier staying at home with a pet sitter, even if I have to deal with missing her. The good news: My pet sitter is usually my sister, so I get plenty of pictures of my pets while I'm away (even though it definitely can't replace being there!).

While we're gone, do our pets miss us too? I'm inclined to say yes, and from the way the cat in this TikTok video is behaving, it seems like there's plenty of evidence to back me up on this.

On Monday, July 22, cat mom @brittanyanne84 shared a video showing what happened when her daughter was out of town... and just how much her cat didn't like it!

This adorable orange kitty, whose name is Oliver, is in the bath tub in the dark with his head down low, looking like the saddest cat in the world. Poor thing!

"My oldest daughter went to Florida for a few days. This is how her (*dramatic*) cat reacted," the OP explained in the video. "He put himself under the leaky bathtub spout and pouted in the dark."

Set to Celine Dion's "All By Myself," it seems like Oliver definitely got that dramatic moment he was hoping for! He even pretended like he didn't want those pets his mom was handing out, but we all know that's not how he really feels.

In a comment, she even wrote that her daughter tried to explain to Oliver that she was leaving and she would be back, but clearly, he was ready and waiting to hold a grudge!

The good news: She's now home, and Oliver is cuddling with his human again, right where he belongs.

    Do Cats Miss Humans?

While cats may not come running to the door every time you get home from work, tail wagging, the way that dogs do, that doesn't mean they don't miss you — they just have their own way of showing it.

Though cats are less prone to separation anxiety than dogs are and tend to be more independent animals in general, they still form bonds with their favorite humans and want to spend time around them!

To know that your cat missed you while you were gone, you might notice that they attach themselves to you once you're back, purr around you more than usual, or do extra stretching in your presence. That means you've been given the honor of a cat's love and loyalty!

It's good to know that Oliver and his mom have been reunited. He was so sad!
