New leadership to take on the 2024-2025 school year at Warrington Preparatory Academy

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — The new school year is bringing new leadership to Warrington Preparatory Academy in Escambia County.

The new leadership: a new principal and several administrators in new roles.

Delvin Vick is replacing Dr. Erica Foster for year two of Warrington Preparatory Academy.

“At the end of the day we’re gonna build students, boys and girls, who have great character, are resilient, show a lot of grit, show a lot of passion for their work and they’re gonna get out of here they’re gonna be ready for high school and beyond,” Delvin Vick, Warrington Preparatory Academy’s new Principal said.

The school, formally Warrington Middle School, became a charter school last year after years of failing grades.

But new Assistant Principal Caleb Lovely, who is going into his 11th year with the school, is looking to build off the progress made in year one of Warrington Preparatory Academy.

“Last year we saw a good bit of buy-in not only from our students but the teachers and communities. We were able to impart a mark that can’t be removed when it comes to making the right steps towards creating successful students,” Lovely said.

School grades for the 2023-2024 school year are expected to come out sometime this week.

“It takes a village to do the work that’s required here at Warrington Preparatory Academy. We are striving for student greatness in school and in life,” said new Assistant Principal, Dr. Shenita McCastler.
