Two music labels are joining to create a new K-pop team, The Crew One, with members from Just B and ATBO. The Crew One will join Mnet’s popular show, Road To Kingdom Season 2, to compete with a star-studded lineup.
ATBO and Just B groups’ labels IST Entertainment and BLUEDOT Entertainment announced the news of The Crew One with a statement. The labels noted, “We’ve teamed up to create a project group, aiming for greater synergy between IST’s ATBO and BLUEDOT’s JUST B. Named The CrewOne, this group symbolizes unity, with members sailing together on the same ship.”
Who are The Crew One members?
The Crew One will have twelve members: Geonu, Bain, Lim Jimin, DY, Sangwoo, Junseok, Junmin, Hyunjun, Seunghwan, Yeonkyu, and Wonbin. Just B’s Lee Geonwoo is the oldest member of the group, while ATBO’s Won Bin is the youngest.
The group is all set for their official debut and entry to Mnet’s Road To Kingdom 2. In the meantime, this article will throw light on the member profiles of The Crew One (stylized as The CrewOne).
Geonu
(Birthday: February 2, 2001)
Just B’s Lee Geonwoo, aka Geonu, gained fame after joining Mnet’s reality show I-Land season 1. The 23-year-old K-pop rookie reached part 2 of I-Land 2 but ultimately bid goodbye to the show in episode 8. Later, he also participated in the Mnet show Build Up.
Lim Jimin
(Birthday: May 22, 2001)
Just B’s Lim Jimin is the leader of the group. The 23-year-old star participated in SBS’s survival show The Fan before joining Just B. He is close friends with several popular K-pop idols, including Stray Kids I.N, TXT‘s Beomgyu, and ENHYPEN‘s Heeseung.
Bain
(Birthday: May 4, 2001)
Just B’s Song Byeonghee, aka Bain, recently attended Mnet‘s survival show Build Up and gained praise for his spectacular live vocals. The rookie artist had previously appeared on another show, Under Nineteen. Bain’s unique talent is his multilingual personality. He can fluently speak Korean, English, Japanese, and Mandarin.
DY
(Birthday: February 21, 2002)
Just B’s Jeon Doyum, aka DY, also participated in Under Nineteen. He ranked first in that show and became a member and center of 1THE9 before joining Just B. The 22-year-old rookie attended the prestigious Hanlim Multi Art School, where he graduated from the Practical Dance department.
Sangwoo
(Birthday: September 3, 2002)
Kim Sangwoo is Just B’s youngest member (maknae). The 22-year-old rising icon is an excellent dancer, so he takes care of the group’s choreography. In addition to singing and dancing, Sangwoo is also a skilled swimmer.
Junseok
(Birthday: March 3, 2003)
Oh Junseok is ATBO’s leader, main rapper, and main dancer. The 21-year-old K-pop artist took Taekwondo lessons before entering the music industry. He participated in the competition The Origin – A, B, Or What? to win a chance to join ATBO.
Junmin
(Birthday: April 5, 2003)
Ryu Junmin is the main vocalist of the ATBO group and will now also be a part of The Crew One. The 21-year-old artist is a former SM Entertainment trainee. Junmin ranked fourth at the finale of The Origin – A, B, Or What? and got the chance to debut with ATBO.
Hyunjun
(Birthday: June 6, 2003)
Bae Hyunjun ranked 5th in the final episode of The Origin – A, B, Or What? with 1,270 points and got to debut with ATBO. The 21-year-old artist holds the position of main rapper. He trained for two years before getting a chance to debut in a K-pop group.
Seunghwan
(Birthday: January 27, 2004)
Jeong Seung Hwan, aka Seunghwan, is the lead vocalist and main dancer of ATBO. The 20-year-old star ranked first in the finale of The Origin – A, B, Or What? with 1760 points. Previously, he took training for over one year and nine months to prepare for K-pop competitions.
Yeonkyu
(Birthday: May 3, 2004)
Kim Yeonkyu is one of ATBO’s most popular members and is currently the team’s main vocalist. The 20-year-old is a former YG Entertainment trainee who participated in the survival show Treasure Box. His training period under IST Entertainment was relatively short compared to that of his team members. He trained for eleven months before getting the chance to debut.
Wonbin
(Birthday: July 1, 2004)
Wonbin is the youngest member of ATBO and will also be the youngest member of the new group, The Crew One. The 20-year-old rookie is the sub-rapper and sub-vocalist of IST’s ATBO. He almost did not make it to the final team of the group. But IST Entertainment did a reevaluation and gave him a chance to debut.
