Gymnastics coverage will be a top priority for NBC at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games , especially given the challenge of explaining the complex scoring system to the scores of casual viewers at home. Former Olympians John Roethlisberger and Laurie Hernandez seem up to the challenge and will lead the network's coverage.
NBC Olympics president and executive producer Molly Solomon believes that reporter/analyst Roethlisberger has a strong chance of being the network’s breakout star in Paris because of his ability to analogize gymnastics events with more familiar sports. As a three-time Olympian, Roethlisberger can also provide in-depth analysis of judges' decisions when needed.
Simone Biles ’ former teammate, 2016 Olympic gold and silver medalist Hernandez , will also make her return to the Olympics, this time as an analyst for NBC’s live daytime coverage. Her gymnastics expertise, engaging on-screen presence, and inside knowledge are expected to provide viewers with valuable insights and captivating commentary.
Roethlisberger and Hernandez will be joined by the other 2024 Paris Olympics NBC announcers for gymnastics:
