COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The day is starting off humid after last night’s thunderstorms rolled through. Watch out for areas of patchy fog heading out this morning, but no issues once it moves out this morning while we remain under mostly cloudy to overcast skies.

This afternoon we see temperatures climb back into the low 90s with more scattered showers and thunderstorms as the forecast remains on repeat and under this subtropical weather pattern which doesn’t seem to budge.

Remainder of the week remains the same with possibly slightly lower rainfall chances as the stalled front finally starts to wash out. But conditions do not change nonetheless. Extended forecast remains with temperatures near 90 degrees by the afternoons with isolated showers and storms.

Tropics remain quiet as dust from the Saharan Air Layer is keeping tropical activity suppressed at least through the next seven days.
