Storms and gusty winds: Timing details

(WJW) – A dry start to Wednesday but a cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A few storms will contain gusty winds.

The timing for today’s rain in mainly between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. across the eastern half of NE Ohio.

A few brief showers will linger into early Thursday. Nothing widespread.

Behind the front, there will be a slight drop in the heat and humidity. Highs on Thursday in the upper 70s and the same on Friday.

The heat and humidity will start to build back in by the end of the weekend and continue through all of next week. During this time, highs in the upper 80s to near 90°.

A weak system will develop Monday into Tuesday. There is a small chance of storms at this time.

The long-range outlook based on pattern recognition shows more continuously warmer/humid days starting this weekend, next week and into the first 7-10 days of August.
