Ohio State Fair forecast: Rainy start to fair, but clear conditions for the weekend likely

Can you hear it in the wind? The faint tinkling of carnival music and the screams of midway riders? Or maybe you can smell it? The sweet scent of funnel cake and the bite of Italian sausage in the air ?

The Ohio State Fair is almost here.

This year, the fair will offer tons of midway rides, concerts from some big names, livestock exhibitions, booths from local businesses and organizations, and of course Ohio's beloved Butter Cow.

Unfortunately, the weather may affect some of the festivities, at least for the first few days.

Here's what you can expect from Mother Nature each day of the fair.

Ohio State Fair daily forecast

The National Weather Service in Wilmington currently has a forecast out until Monday. Like most forecasts, this is subject to the whims of nature and could change throughout the duration of the fair. We've included a breakdown of expected conditions during the big show each night of the fair.

Wednesday, Kids Bop live forecast:

• There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Otherwise, it'll be partly sunny with a high near 87. The chance of precipitation is 50%. Rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are expected but could be higher if it storms.
• There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 1 a.m. It'll be mostly cloudy, with a low of around 68. The chance of precipitation is 40%. Rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are expected but could be higher if it storms.

Thursday, Alabama with Jade Eagleson forecast:

• There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Otherwise, it'll be partly sunny with a high near 83. The chance of precipitation is 20%.
• In the evening, expect mostly clear conditions with a low around 62.

Friday, Stone Temple Pilots with Soul Asylum forecast:

• It'll be sunny with a high near 85.
• Cooler conditions are forecast for the evening with mostly clear skies, with a low around 62.

Saturday, Boyz II Men with Preacher Lawson forecast:

• Expect temperatures throughout the day to reach a high of 88 degrees.
• Conditions should cool throughout the evening with mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Sunday, La Zenda Norteña forecast:

• It'll be mostly sunny throughout the day with a high near 90.
• Expect partly cloudy conditions with a comfortable low around 69.

Monday, Lauren Daigle forecast

• There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, it'll be mostly sunny with a high near 90. The chance of precipitation is 30%.
