    One dead after police find vehicle partially submerged in Chesterfield pond

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A person is dead after police found them in a vehicle partially submerged in a pond in Chesterfield County.

    At 11:31 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department responded to the 12000 block of Kingston Avenue in reference to a vehicle partially submerged in a pond.

    When responders with the Chesterfield County Fire Department Dive Team arrived, they found one unidentified person inside the vehicle who was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The crash is being investigated by officials. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call police at 804-748-1251.
