‘You’re Going To Lose’: Lawrence Jones Warns Republicans ‘Unnecessary’ Attacks On Harris’ Race Will ‘Tick Voters Off’

Fox & Friends host Lawrence Jones warned Republicans attacking Democratic presumptive nominee Kamala Harris as a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) hire will make turn the election into an “identity politics race” and “tick voters off.”

The criticism comes after several Republicans, including Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) repeated his claim that Harris was only selected because of Harris’ racial and gender identity, in the wake of President Joe Biden’s endorsement of her.

Jones urged conservatives, to the agreement of other Fox & Friends hosts like Steve Doocy , not to “make that the one thing” they’re “attacking her on” and to focus on Harris’ record instead.

You can attack at all these other attacks are just unnecessary. It’s going to tick voters off. It’s going to make this an identity politics race. And if you decide to do that you’re going to lose. If you start attacking her based on being dei and all the other stuff like that. You are going to turn voters off.

Look, I understand it, Biden set the stage for it saying: ‘Hey, I’m only going to select a black woman.’ You never want to make… when the GOP Is gaining ground in black America for that to be the one thing you are attacking her on… There is a lot of stuff we just laid out.
