    Kim Nam-Gil’s The Fiery Priest season 2 will premiere in the second half of 2024. The production team will soon announce the release date, and fans are already buzzing with excitement, especially after Nam-Gil was recently spotted on the set while filming.

    The Fiery Priest is a 2019 comedy investigative K-drama with 40 episodes. It revolved around a witty yet rude Catholic priest, Kim Hae-Il (Nam-Gil). The murder of his senior priest leads him to Detective Koo Dae-Young (Kim Sung-Kyung) and Prosecutor Park Kyung-Sun (Lee Ha-Nee). The trio then solves the case.

    As per Netflix, the synopsis reads, “When his fellow clergyman dies under shady circumstances, a hot-tempered priest who’s unable to turn a blind eye to injustice hunts for answers.”

    The Fiery Priest Season 2: Kim Nam-Gil spotted filming for the SBS K-drama

    The Fiery Priest season 2 has recently grabbed attention after the actor was spotted in his character. A series of photos of the upcoming drama from the set have circulated online. It featured Kim Nam-Gil wearing his black-colored priest’s outfit on the filming set. Reports suggest that it will air in the second half of this year.

    According to isplus, the first season received the highest viewership rating at the time and turned out to be a “mega-hit” in 2019. Therefore, fans are thrilled for season 2 after five years. The cast will likely reprise their roles in the upcoming installment.

    The Fiery Priest season 2 will star Kim Nam-Gil as Kim Hae-Il, Kim Sung-Hyun as Koo Dae-Young, and Lee Ha-Nee as Park Kyung-Sun in the lead. Other cast members include BIBI as Koo Ja-Young, Sung Joon as Kim Hong-Sik, Seo Hyun-Woo as Nam Doo-Heon, Baek Ji-Won as Kim In-Kyung, and Na Sun-Uk. Furthermore, Park Bo-Ram will direct the K-drama while Park Jae-Bum is the screenwriter.
