KDOT stresses importance of work zone barricades for drivers

KANSAS (KOAM) -- As road work continues throughout the 4-States, the Kansas Department of Transportation is reminding drivers about moving work zone barricades.

KDOT says work zone barricades are used to communicate road conditions.

"Moving or destroying these signs is not only illegal but could put lives in danger," says KDOT via Facebook.

Reminders from KDOT:

The signs are present to warn of a road condition.
The person who movies the signs may know the condition, but other travelers may be completely unaware.
Crashes, injuries, and death can occur if traffic control devices are not in place.
