NFL Perks Offered To Verizon Customers Include Free Sunday Ticket Package, YouTube TV Discounts

Verizon is getting ready for the upcoming NFL season by offering its customers a free season of Sunday Ticket, discounts on YouTube TV and other incentives.

Starting today, customers can get a free season of NFL Sunday Ticket (a value of up to $449) as well as $10 off the monthly charge for YouTube TV, which carries broadcast networks with in-market carriage of NFL games. YouTube took over the distribution of Sunday Ticket in 2023 in a 7-year, $14 billion deal with the NFL, making it available as a stand-alone as well as an add-on for YouTube TV subscribers.

The NFL season begins on September 5, with the first full slate of league-wide games set for September 8.

As part of its football-themed promotions, Verizon is also providing access to NFL game tickets through its Access rewards program. The company did not specify how many tickets would be available but said they would be on offer for every NFL game for all 32 teams.

Verizon has a long history with the NFL, having previously held mobile rights to live games and more recently shifting its emphasis to in-person experiences. The telecom giant now provides all 30 NFL stadiums with 5G technology.

The company’s announcement of the offers said there are “no strings attached” to the ticket access, which is intended as a bonus “simply for being a Verizon customer.”

The Sunday Ticket and YouTube TV deals are available for mobile and home internet customers through Verizon’s myPlan and myHome setups.

YouTube executives have said the addition of Sunday Ticket, which also includes various related deals bringing creators in closer contact with the NFL, has resulted in an uptick in subscriptions to YouTube TV. The pay-TV service recently passed 8 million subscribers.
